Can you believe it’s already the last weekend of July? I know I shouldn’t point out how quickly the summer is moving, but the arrival of August is inevitable! Are you making the most out of your summer?
The G5 Team is lucky to live in the Catskill Mountains of New York where we have plenty to do right in our backyards. Here are some ideas for how to make the most of the beautiful summer days no matter where you live.
A Backyard Campfire
Enjoy a warm summer night with family and friends around the fire. The stories and laughs shared are priceless.
Float in a Tube
Floating down the Delaware river in a tube is a classic Catskills pastime. However, you can tube in a lake, pond, or pool wherever you live for the ultimate relaxing weekend!
Go for a Hike
Stuck indoors all week at work? Taking in the natural scenery on a hike is a great way to get active outdoors.
Visit a Farmers’ Market
The local talent showcased at a farmers’ market always amazes me. Try browsing an outdoor market and picking up some local ingredients for dinner. You can often sample your way through the booths one local jam at a time!
A Movie and Ice Cream
On those scorching hot days, an air conditioned movie theater is the best place to be. Finishing off the night with some post-movie ice cream is the cherry on top. A drive-in theater is fun in more temperate weather, too!
Enjoy this weather while it lasts! |
