Lessons from a Ten-Year-Old

During a casual chat this week, a ten-year-old friend of mine blew my mind without even realizing it.  We were catching up on what she’s been up to, and between the usual discussions of school and social life, she said, “Things are a little crazy right now, but at least we have each other.”  It was the genuine delivery of her statement that made me smile.  She didn’t realize just how right she was when she said such a smart and humbling statement.  We could all take a page out of her book, especially this week.  Things certainly are a little crazy, but at least we have each other!
