Summer Isn’t Over Yet!
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been ignoring the leaves turning, floating down from the trees, and crunching under your feet. Deliberately looking away is easier than accepting the inevitable autumn.
Back to school commercials have been haunting us for weeks now. We can’t go grocery, clothing, or online shopping without seeing “back to school deals” plastered everywhere – constant reminders that our summer days are dwindling.
We all love summer, but back to school can also be a very exciting time. Teacher and class schedule announcements come in the mail, followed by supply lists and sports sign-ups. Kids look forward to the new school year, and parents are happy to be back in a routine.
Football and soccer season, Halloween, then the holidays!
Whoa, whoa, whoa –
In case you need it (because I know I do), here is your reminder to slow down. Summer isn’t over yet! We still have Labor Day Weekend and a month until autumn officially begins. It’s easy to get swept away by the “what’s next?” mentality, especially when advertisements are pushing you that way daily; however, it’s important to enjoy right now.
