Head, Heart, Hands, & Health

The Sullivan County 4-H Youth Livestock Auction will take place Sunday, August 18th, 2019 at the Grahamsville Fair.  Where does your money go when you purchase an animal from a 4-H kid?
4-H youth work with their animal “projects” all year in preparation for the livestock shows and auctions.  Not only does your purchase contribute to the 4-Hers’ scholarship funds, but it also demonstrates how rewarding hard work can be.
Through raising their animals, the youth learn the value of a dollar, how to put their animals’ best interests ahead of their own, and that success is achieved through early mornings, long days, and late nights.
The 4-H barn is often the place where these kids, the future of agriculture, fall in love with the animals and the lifestyle.  Friendships and lifelong memories are made at these fairs.
Please consider attending the Livestock Auction in your area to support 4-H and the kids who participate!  For more information, visit http://www.grahamsvillefair.com/schedule-of-events.html.
