Some Weeks are Better Than Others
Some weeks I surprise myself with how productive and efficient I can be. Some weeks I can really crush it with minimal effort, crossing items off the to-do list like they’re nothing. Some weeks, though, getting through my usual morning emails takes all of my effort.
Take my weekly writing for example. Most of the time, ideas just come to me, and I start typing. Other times, there’s not a thought behind these eyes.
So, how do we handle the not-so-good weeks? It’s our jobs to crush it, whether it comes naturally to us or not; however, it’s important to cut ourselves some slack. We’re humans, not robots, and we can’t be perfect all the time.
The reality is, though, we have to put our heads down and get to work because there are people who rely on us. We have to remind ourselves that just like the bad week came, a good one will too. That person who was conquering her to do list is the same person sitting at her desk now. Today is the start of a new week – let’s make it a good one!
