Showing Up

How many places do you have to go in a week?  If you actually counted the number of events you’re expected to attend or errands you have to run, you’d probably come up with a disgusting number.  Between grocery store runs, dropping the kids off, taking the dog to the groomer, picking up take-out dinner, running to the dentist, and commuting to work (shall I go on?), we can feel like zombies spending valuable time on the monotonous day-to-day.

The thing about the “monotonous day-to-day” is that it doesn’t exist.  These little tasks and seemingly insignificant moments are your life.  Start showing up.

I mean really showing up.  I’m sure you’re always there on time to pick up your kid, and I’m sure you have great attendance at work.  You’re there physically.  You go through the motions.  But how often do you actually show up?  I’m talking a smile on your face, an eager attitude, the whole nine yards.  Your weekly tasks may not change, but your week surely will!
