Don’t Take Yourself for Granted
Life feels mundane when you forget your “why.” You wake up, feed the pets, eat breakfast, get ready for work, go to work, do work, go home, feed the pets, eat dinner, get ready for bed, go to bed, repeat. All of those activities may sound like a given, but they’re not. When you remember why you’re doing those things, they reveal themselves as little daily wins.
You wake up because you’re brave enough to tackle the day.
You feed the pets because you’re a reliable caretaker who loves their animals.
You eat because you respect and take care of your body.
You get ready for work because you take pride in your appearance.
You go to work because you’re dedicated, hardworking, and successful.
You sleep because you’re preparing to do it all over again. Every day, you show up.
When you look at it that way, you’re a a hero who’s killing it in their own way. Don’t take yourself for granted.
