What do you bring to the table?

At the center of our office sits a long wooden table.  As a team, we often gather around the table to put our heads together at least once a week.  During a meeting this week, I noticed that each team member literally brings different qualities to the table.  We have the dreamers, the organized, the big picture thinkers, the detail oriented, the motivated, the creative, the systematic, the high energy, the calm, the bold, the quiet, and the list goes on and on.  The immense variety brings balance to our group, each characteristic like a puzzle piece needed to complete the team.

We often put pressure on ourselves as individuals by dissecting our characteristics under a microscope.  We accuse ourselves of being too much one way or not enough another way when, in reality, each of our qualities are absolutely necessary in the grand scheme of things.

Take inventory of your qualities.  Whether you like them or not, your unique combination of traits differentiate you from everyone else, and therein lies your value.  What do you bring to the table?
